Newby is diverse and flexible in its approach, with the ability to identify, realise and add real value to schemes. Nick Moody

Deal Origination & Funding

Nick Moody, a founding partner of Newby has over twenty-five years experience in the property industry. Nick provides deal origination and funding for Newby and coordinates corporate strategy.

Simon Hepden

Development & Planning

Simon Hepden, a founding partner of Newby has over twenty years experience in development, planning, project and cost management and construction delivery. Simon enables Newby to build in house without recourse to main contractors.

Frazer Roberts

Project Direction

Frazer is now a stakeholder in Newby and coordinates the business from acquisition/funding through the development process to eventual sale.

Oliver Blackshaw

Sales & Marketing

Oliver plans and co-ordinates the sales and marketing process at Newby. Branding and designing marketing campaigns, setting and delivering the sales strategy for all the schemes.

Amy Welbourn

Development Manager

Amy Welbourn, has experience in sales of residential properties and land and new homes. Amy manages the sites through the development process.

Wendy Thornton-Coad


Wendy Thornton-Coad, is a finance professional with extensive experience within a private accounting practice. Wendy is responsible for legal compliance, company secretarial matters and the operational function of the company.

Chris Walker

Contracts Manager

Chris Walker is responsible for the procurement of sub-contractors packages for each development and coordinates the site development works across all Newby schemes.

Sam Ellis

Project & Site Management

Sam Ellis, is responsible for the health and safety as well as the project and site management of Newby’s developments.

Close Brothers Homes and Communities Agency Telereal Trillium Oaknorth Moorfield Group Together

An independent merchant banking group based in London, providing market making and corporate finance services. Newby have worked closely with Close Brothers on the successful development of 32 Devonshire Place and Windsor Court, and continue to build on the relationship working alongside them in the development of Springfield Court.

The Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) helps create successful communities by making more homes and business premises available to the residents and businesses who need them. We also regulate social housing providers in England.

Telereal Trillium is one of the UK’s largest property companies, owning and managing over 8,000 properties, valued in excess of £5.5bn. The Shareholders are leading real estate investors, the Pears family and management.

OakNorth Bank was created to help the UK’s growth businesses and entrepreneurs reach their potential by providing them with bespoke, no-nonsense debt finance solutions. OakNorth lends between £500,000 to £25m to businesses and property developers in the UK and is working with Newby on the redevelopment of Ryedale House, York.

Moorfield Group is a UK real estate and related private equity fund manager, with investments made through the Moorfield Real Estate Funds (MREFs). Newby acquired Velocity Village in Sheffield with Moorfield and have now successfully completed and sold the scheme.
