Windsor Court

Purchased in June 2015, Windsor Court was a part vacant office park in the highly desirable Duchy area in Harrogate. 


The sites were acquired, planned, developed, completed and sold over the period, enabling the existing buildings to be restored and ‘brought back to life’.

Castle Chambers

A Joint Venture with Telereal Trillium (London based property company) in converting an existing city centre office building into 25 contemporary apartments and a new 2,900 sqft A3 unit.

In June 2014 Newby signed a Joint Venture agreement with Telereal Trillium (London based property company) to convert an existing city centre office building into 25 contemporary one and two bedroom apartments and create a new 2,900 sqft A3 unit.

Devonshire Place

32 Devonshire Place previously one of the oldest coaching inns in Harrogate that had been left derelict. This Grade II listed building was converted into 12 stunning apartments and a detached mew house.

Velocity Village

In February 2012, Newby with partners The Moorfield Group purchased Velocity Village, an existing mixed use development which included 468 residential apartments, 120,000 sqft of commercial office space, an active business centre and a 550 space car park on two basement levels. Newby and Moorfield successfully completed and sold Velocity Village in 2015.


Newby identified 104 acres of agricultural land in the green belt between the A417(T) and north Brockworth and entered into a JV agreement with St Congar (Europa Capital’s Strategic Land Operation). The partners subsequently entered into a collaboration agreement with the adjacent landowners, the Society of Merchant Ventures.

Milliners Wharf

261 studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments with associated commercial. Located on the Ashton Canal the development provided water view apartments just 2 miles from Manchester City Centre with a GDV £55m.
